3. Seaside SaLT (Speech and Language Therapy)

Seaside SaLT: This organisation provides private, tailor-made Speech and Language Therapy sessions for children 0-18. They offer initial consultations, assessments and intervention sessions. The sessions can be at their clinic in Scarborough or at the child’s home, school or nursery. 4. Dyslexia Assessment By The Sea

Dyslexia By The Sea: Lauryn is a Dyslexia Specialist Tutor and Assessor for children and young people up to 16 years old. She provides specialist dyslexia tuition and dyslexia screening, based in the Scarborough area. 5. Coast Tuition and Coast Tuition Community (School-age)

Coast Tuition and Coast Tuition Community: This private company works with learners of school age, school leavers and adult learners. They offer a wide range of provisions.
School age: Coast Tuition provide bespoke learning plans of up to 15 hours of 1-1 delivery per week for students who can’t access mainstream education. They also provide long-term exclusion support. Coast Tuition works with primary and secondary schools, colleges and the local authority to provide their service. Teaching takes place in a range of learning spaces to suit individual needs at the Yorkshire Business Centre in Scarborough town centre, and in outdoor learning environments too.
Family Hub Sessions: These community support sessions provide a fun and relaxing environment for children and their parents/carers. They include a hot meal and are an opportunity for children to play, socialise, be supported with their homework, and enjoy other activities. The adults can enjoy time with their children and be part of a supportive group for each other too. There are two sessions per week, one is in Eastfield on Tuesdays 3-5p.m. and the other is in Scarborough on Wednesdays 3-5p.m. These sessions are free to attend.
Kids Club: Holiday fun, games and activities in an educational setting is offered during part of the school holidays. Contact Coast Tuition for dates.

Supporting Choice: They are based on Hoxton Road in Scarborough and provide supported learning programmes for 16-25 year olds, including those who are on the autism spectrum. Learners work in a supported classroom environment on employability and functional skills (English and Maths). They are supported throughout a range of local work experience placements and supported internships. Wider learning is supported including travel training, social skills and money management.
