There are a number of books about autism. Some examples are in the photograph above. These include books on various areas the reader may find useful such as supporting autistic children, teenagers, adults, employment issues, sensory sensitivities and much more. Lived experience books written by autistic authors include Temple Grandin, Clare Sainsbury and Donna Williams. North Yorkshire Libraries have a few hundred books about autism that can be borrowed free of charge if available at local libraries or for a very small charge they can be ordered from other libraries in the county.
